The initial Consultation

If you're interested in Invisalign, you'll start by having a consultation with our dentist. During this visit, our dentist will conduct a thorough evaluation of your teeth and assess the degree of misalignment to determine if your are a good candidate for treatment. If not, our dentist may recommend another type of braces to address your needs. If you are a good candidate for Invisalign, our denist will proceed with developing your treatment plan.

Your Treatment Plan

After our dentist determines Invisalign will be a good match for your needs, 3D scans will be taken of your teeth. These are called digital impressions and will not only be used to develop your custom-made aligners, but will also be used to provide you with a treatment simulation and virtual results.

About the Aligners

The aligners are custom-made from a BPA-material. They are designed to fit comfortably over your teeth while gently adding pressure in the right places to shift your teeth into proper alignment over time. The aligners are virtually transparent, so no one ever has to know you're wearing them. Additionally, you can remove them to enjoy meals and for easier oral care. Our dentist recommends wearing the aligners at least 22 hours per day so you can ensure you stay on track with your treatment plan and avoid delaying your results.

Treatment Progress

As with traditional braces, you'll return to our office periodically. Unlike braces, however, these visits don't involve any discomfort and they're far less frequent than the adjustment appointments needed for metal braces. Instead, you'll come into our office every four to six weeks so our dentist can evaluate your progress so far. Typically we'll also provide you with the next set(s) of aligners in the series to ensure your treatment continues to progress as scheduled.

Payment Options

Unfortunately, since Invisalign is considered cosmetic dentistry, most dental insurance plans only offer partial coverage for this treatment, if it's covered at all. To make this option more affordable for our patients, we accept several other forms of payment. We also offer various payment plans and CareCredit, a credit card dedicated to dental treatments like Invisalign.
